Ruby Carrie Cunningham, 97 years, 6 months, 8 days, passed to Heaven on February 4, 2015 at the Magnolia Square Nursing Home in Springfield, MO.
Ruby was born July 26, 1917 in Rome, MO, Douglas County to Benjamin Harrison Fulton and Gertie May (Richards) Fulton.
Ruby was a resident of the Nixa area for a few years moving from Carl Junction, MO. On Dec. 23, 1934 Ruby and James Clifford Cunningham were united in marriage in Ava, MO at Springcreek by the Rev. John Silvey and to this union five children were born.
Ruby was a retired Cook. She was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church in Carl Junction.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting and most of all being with all her family.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clifford in 1993, her son, Paul in 2014 and one brother, Leonard Fulton.
Ruby is survived by four children; Lavon McGinnis, Springfield, MO, Janice Palmer, Mulvane, KS, Ray Cunningham and wife, Fran, Ava, MO, and Deb Cunningham and partner, Karen, Springfield, MO, daughter-in-law, Nell Cunningham, Richardson, TX, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 24 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ruby will be Sat. Feb. 7, 2015, 2:00 p.m.in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Sat. from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Raymond Haden. Memorials may be made to Missouri Council of the Blind or Walnut Grove Cemetery.
