Ruby Jewel Pachla, 87 years, passed away on June 30, 2010 at St.John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, MO.

Ruby was born July 25, 1922 in Grahn, KY to William and Maude (Bailey) Mosier.

Ruby was a resident of Ava since 1991 moving from North Tonawanda, NY. Ruby worked all of her life at various occupations. She enjoyed working and raising funds for the American Cancer Society in NY. She had received awards for this and had also received an award for working with the handicapped here in Ava. Ruby was a member of the Ava Assembly of God Church.

Ruby was married to Clifford Carroll and to this union five children were born. He preceeded in death. Years later, Ruby married Matthew Pachla in North Tonawanda, NY and he also preceeded in death.

Ruby enjoyed country music, and delighted in her friendship to Barbara Fairchild in Branson. She enjoyed traveling and especially to Kentucky to see all of her relatives. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening, canning, baking for her friends and family. Ruby loved being with all of her family.

Ruby was preceeded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clifford Carroll, her second husband, Matthew Pachla, three brothers, Douglas, Clifton and Dick Mosier, two sisters, Mildred Barker and Loretta Ferguson, one grandson, Clifford Carroll, Jr.

Ruby is survived by five children, Julia Christine Christie, Ava, MO, Claude R. "Bud" Carroll, Tacoma, WA, Jesse E. "Sonny" Carroll and wife, Esther, Ava, MO, Clifford E. Carroll and wife, Ann, Lockport, NY and Phillip G.Carroll and wife, Debbie, North Tonawanda, NY, 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ruby will be Monday, July 5, 2010, 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Brushyknob Cemetery. Visitation is Monday 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
