Ruth A. Cary, 87 years, passed to heaven on August 12, 2009 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.
Ruth was born March 6, 1922 in Kitchner-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada to Gordon R. and Elizabeth A. (Zehnder) Wiegand.
Ruth was married to Eric McLean and to this union three children were born. He preceded her in death in 1966. On Aug. 20, 1970 Ruth and Daniel F. Cary were united in marriage in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Ruth and Daniel moved to the Theodosia, MO area approximately 16 years ago moving from Saratoga Springs, NY. Ruth was a professional Artist and had painted over 1500 works of art for the Christian Conduit. She also was a Ladies Bible Teacher and a wonderful housewife and homemaker. Ruth played a number of instruments including the Hammond organ which she played in church for a number of years. She also taught many people how to water ski. Daniel and Ruth enjoyed canoeing and fishing together. Ruth was baptised in the holy spirit at the age of 12. She was a member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Ruth lived her life for the Lord. She was a strong Christian witness.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Eric McLean, one son, Torrence McLean and one brother, Paul Wiegand.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Daniel F. Cary, Theodosia, MO, one son, Ronald and Sheila McLean, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and one daughter, Cheryl and Jim Cooper, Courtney, British Columbia, Canada, a daughter-in-law, Robin McLean, British Columbia, five grandchildren, Becky, Benjamin, Jason, April and Torrey McLean, two great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Cremation services for Ruth are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
