RUTH ELIZABETH LACHANCE
Ruth Elizabeth LaChance, 93, of Gainesville, MO passed away on July 18, 2012 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born on October 2, 1918 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Anton Barnhard and Carmen (MacIntyre) Adlof.
Ruth was raised in Dearborn, MI and in 1936 she was united in marriage to Lyman LaChance in Ypsilanti, MI. The couple lived in Ypsilanti until 1955 when they moved back to Dearborn. Lyman passed away in 2002, and after his death, Ruth moved to Montana to be near her daughter, Sheryl. In 2005 she moved to the Ozarks with Sheryl and her husband, Michael, and they made Theodosia their new home. Ruth worked most of her adult life as a seamstress and truly enjoyed the slow paced life that the Ozarks offered. She loved her family very much. Ruth was a Christian and was baptized at the age of 88.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lyman; and one daughter. She is survived by one daughter, Sheryl Was and her husband Michael of Theodosia, MO; two grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.
No local services are planned. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
