RUTH ANN CLARICE WORDSWORTH

Ruth Ann Clarice Wordsworth, 76, of Theodosia, MO passed away on March 28, 2015 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO. She was born on August 4, 1938 in Zumbrota, MN the daughter of Curtis and Viola (Hagen) Finsteun.

Ruth grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1956. She moved to Theodosia, MO in 1978. She owned & operated the Cart Court Motel and also the D Bar D Tavern in Theodosia until it closed in 2004. Ruth loved shopping, crocheting and reading; but especially loved shopping. She was a fabulous cook and loved to feed her family.
Ruth always said her favorite son was Steve, and her favorite daughter was……well, that depends on which daughter you ask. She had a way of making each of her six children feel like they were special. She was a very loving mother and grandmother. She always told her kids "I love you more." Today they would like to say:" Mom, we love you Most!"
Ruth was a Christian. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her six children Dixie Sexton of Marengo, IA, Kathy Offerman and Steve Miller both of Marion, IA, Janice Miller, Sue Cuthbertson and Shelly Wordsworth all of Theodosia, MO; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother Del Finsteun; and three sisters Helen Lother, Donna Carlson and Nikki Mohn. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 in the Theodosia United Methodist Church, Theodosia, MO with Gene West officiating. Burial will be in the Lutie Cemetery.
