Obituary

N.L. SALLIE ANN WORSTALL

Sallie Ann (Davis) Worstall, 81, of Gainesville, MO passed away September 17, 2018 at the Gainesville Healthcare Center. She was born Neoma Lee Davis on January 10, 1937 in Bunker, MO, but other than family, no one heard that name. Her dad called her Sallie Ann at three days old and it stuck.

She was raised in Illinois but moved to the Ozarks in 1985 with her husband, Richard "Dick" Worstall, whom she had married on September 3, 1966 in East Peoria, IL. She was a member of Living Word Church in Theodosia and later a member of Mammoth Assembly of God Church south of Gainesville. During her years at Mammoth Assembly, she crocheted and gave away nearly 200 afghans to the women in the church. She fought a long hard battle, never losing her wit and sense of humor. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her God and her family above all else. She was saved at the age of ten, then rededicated her life to Christ in 1985. She will be missed by many, but those who have accepted Christ as their savior, will see her again.

Sallie is survived by her daughter Ronda Foster and husband Craig of Gainesville, MO; three step children Ronald Worstall and wife June of Smyrna, TN, Elizabeth Mathison of Peoria Heights, IL, Guy Worstall of Virginia; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one daughter-in-law Deborah Ward of Pekin, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Henry and Mattie Emoline (Chronister) Davis; her husband Richard Worstall; three children Randy Ward, Susan Worstall, James Worstall; five brothers; four sisters; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Mammoth Assembly of God Church south of Gainesville, MO with Steve Sinor officiating. Burial will follow in the Mammoth Cemetery. The family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Mammoth Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
