Sandra Turley
Ava, MO
Sandra Lois (Evans) Turley, 73 years, left this earth June 2, 2009, to be with her heavenly Father. Sandra was born May 16, 1936 to Frank and Velma Evans of Gove, Kansas.
Sandra grew up in Western Kansas, living as a child in Gove and Oakley, Kansas. She married the love of her life, Ralph, on July 24, 1953, in Oakley, Kansas and to this union three children were born. The family moved to Ava, Missouri in 1962. Sandra worked along side her husband farming for the next 15 years, as well as being a full-time Mom. After selling the farm, she worked several years at Rawlings Factory before leaving the area and traveling in the motel and residential care business with Ralph. As her health began to fail, they moved back to Ava and owned and operated Benny's Restaurant until retirement in 1999. Sandra loved the Lord, her family and friends. She had a wonderfully warm smile to share with everyone she met and she never met a stranger.
