Sharon Dobbs

Mtn. Grove, Missouri

Sharon Lee Dobbs, 76 years, 1 month, 18 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on February 1, 2022 at Cox Health Medical Center South in Springfield, MO with her family by her side. She went home to be with her beloved husband and daughter, Patty.

Sharon was born December 14, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa to Gordon and Catherine "Kay" (Appleby) Downing.

Sharon and Donald L. Dobbs, Sr. were united in marriage in Rock Island, IL on May 23, 1964, and together they shared six children.

She was retired from working several years with the Davenport Public Schools as a Custodian. Sharon was a Christian and attended church when she was able. She enjoyed playing card games and watching tennis on TV.

Her joy and love was being with all her family and especially her grand and great grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald and daughter, Patty Goodwin.

Sharon is survived by two daughters, Leanne Dobbs, Donna McKay and husband, Greg; three sons, Kenneth Dobbs and wife, Carla, Gordon (Skip) Dobbs, and Donnie Dobbs and wife Deanise; son in law, Joe Goodwin; many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one brother, Bob Kent, three sisters; Sandra Lambert, Jackie Ellison, and Kathy Kappler, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Sharon will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 18 ^th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Ray Dobbs. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Cemetery.
