Stanley Ray Lakey, 61 years, 1 month, and 11 days old, passed away on April 8 2026, at his home.

Stanley was born February 28, 1965 in Springfield, Missouri, to Noble and Bonnie (Byerlee) Lakey.

He grew up in Douglas County, Missouri. He was a truck driver for Tracker Boats. He and his dad, Noble, worked there for several years.He enjoyed going to the creek, playing video games, and visiting with his friends and family. Stanley wasn’t religious, but he believed in God.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Bonnie; siblings, Bill Lakey, Gary Lakey, and Kevin Lakey.

Stanley is survived by his son, Stan Lakey, II; his aunt, Shirley Bell; his best friends, Kenneth Overturf and Lori Santacroce; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cremation services for Stanley are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava, Missouri. Family is honoring his request to be cremated. His family and friends will have a celebration of his life at a later date. Memorials can be made to the funeral home to help with his funeral expenses.
