Stella Deleata McKenzie, 86 years, 9 months, and 2 days old, passed to heaven on December 25, 2015 at her home with her family by her side.
Stella was born March 24, 1929 in Bonheim, TX to Daniel and Ola (Martin) Roberts.
Stella was employed by the government as a payroll clerk for over twenty years.
She was a Christian and a member of the Mt. Lebanon Church in Foil, MO pastored by Pastor Lewis Stern. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Stella enjoyed gardening, sewing, and looking after her dogs, Bootie, Buddy and Mattie.
Stella was preceded by her husband John, her parents, a brother, Dan Roberts, and two grandchildren, Jimmie Hanks and Dan Larkin.
Stella is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Hanks and husband Jim of Noble, MO and Delita Sutton of Branson, MO, a son, Steve Larkin and wife Sharon of Amite, LA, three grandchildren, Brandy Bowman of Amite, LA, Monica Lemone of Laplace, LA, and Jim Larkin of Baton Rouge, LA, eight great-grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends.
Cremation services for Stella are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava.
