Sylvia Ferguson

Sylvia Ferguson, 91 years, 8 months, 4 days old, passed away on September 18, 2020 at Springfield Rehabilitation and Health Center in Springfield, MO.

Sylvia was born January 14, 1929 in Tahlequah, OK to Hugh and Rose (Perry) Hayes.

Sylvia was a retired Nurses Assistant and had worked in Fresno, CA before moving to Missouri.

Sylvia and Chalmer Ray Ferguson were united in marriage April 24, 1948 at Las Vegas, NV and to this union were blessed with a daughter Sylvia. Sylvia was a member of Harvest Community Nazarene Church in Rogersville. She enjoyed testifying for her Lord! She had a compassionate heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Chalmer on July 17, 2006, two sisters, Melva Graham and Elva Burruss.

Sylvia is survived by her daughter and husband, Sylvia & Harold Helton of Rogersville, Mo, one nephew, two nieces, other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will for Sylvia will be on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO followed by the graveside services at 11:00 a.m. in the Yates Cemetery, off of East Hwy 14, Ava, MO. Officiating will be her daughter, Rev. Sylvia Helton.
