Teddy "Ted" Allen
Ava, MO

Teddy Edwin Allen, 86 years, 2 months, and 12 days old, passed away on March 29, 2016 at his home with his wife, Karen and his son, T.E. by his side.

Ted was born January 17, 1930 in Gainesville, MO to Harry Dutch and Stella Mae (Garfit) Allen. He graduated from Ava High School in 1950.

Ted was employed by the Veteran's Hospital Fort Harrison as a Lab Technician in Helena, Montana for 28 years. Ted was a U.S. Army Veteran and served from 1950 to 1954 and served during the Korean War.

On June 16, 1973 Ted and Karen Anne Connors were united in marriage in Anaconda, MT and to this union Ted Edwin was born. T.E. joined his two sisters and one brother.

Ted was a member of the Immaculate Heart Catholic Church in Mansfield, MO.Ted enjoyed farming and hunting.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Dutch Allen and Stella Allen Waters, step father, who raised him, Tubby Waters, two infant children, Stephanie and baby boy Allen.

Ted is survived by his wife, Karen Allen, Ava, MO, four children and their spouses; Pam Petry, Jacksonville, FL, Janice & Joseph Connors, Sylmar, CA, Mark & Delene (Heriford) Allen, Hope Mills, N.C., and T.E. Allen, Sparta, MO, five grandchildren, Robert Petry, Thomas Petry, Miranda Allen, Miriah Allen and Zack Allen, several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.


Memorials may be made in Ted's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Per Ted's request he will be cremated and no services. Cremation is being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
