Thelma June Byerley

Thelma June Byerley, 78 years, passed away on August 16, 2013 at her home with her family by her side.

June was born June 30, 1935 in Brixey, MO to Thomas E. "T.E." and Louvada "Lou" (Stephens) Parsons.


On August 14, 1953 June and Willard "Will" Byerley were united in marriage in Wasola, MO and to this union two children were born.

June was a resident of the Wasola community for six years moving from Ozark, MO, where she had worked at Fasco Industries for over 20 years. She also was a Bookkeeper for her husband's propane business.

She was a Christian and a member of the Southside Church of Christ in Ozark, MO. She was also a member of the Ladies VFW Auxillary in Ozark. She enjoyed traveling and sewing.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, "Will"in 2004 and seven brothers and sisters.

June is survived by two children, Greg Byerley, Wasola, MO and Dana Byerley, Republic, MO, two grandsons, Justin and Adam Byerley, one sister, Ina Mae Gillette and her many other "grand and great grandchildren" that she cared for and many nieces and nephews.


Cremation services for June are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A memorial service will be Thursday, August 22, 2013, 5:00 p.m. at the Southside Church of Christ, 801 W. South St., Ozark MO. Her cremains will be put in the Columbarium Wall at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO alongside her husband, Willard. Memorials may be made to the Southside Church of Christ in Ozark, MO or Fairhaven Children's Home in Strafford, MO.
