Theresa Marie Brown

Theresa Marie Brown, 68 years, 3 months, and 20 days old was born to Frank Gary and Helen Wisdom Lewis, on October 18, 1953 in Davenport, Iowa.  She was raised by her stepfather, Bert "Woggy" Lewis and her mother, Helen.

Theresa was a 1972 graduate of Ava High School.

On February 17, 1974, Theresa and Robert Brown were united in marriage in Evans, Missouri and to this union two children were born. Robert Belvie Brown, II and Mary Theresa Brown Shumate. Later in life, Theresa was blessed by another son, Tyler Wayne Brown.

Theresa was a Christian and attended Evans' Church. Later in life she rededicated her life to God at Cross Point Church.

Theresa enjoyed gardening, geneology and traveling around to different cemeterys.  Theresa had a passion for helping others learn of their family history as well as her own.

Theresa has also gathered over 1,350 photos of tombstones and managed around 1,800 memorials for Findagrave.com

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Helen Lewis; husband, Robert; infant grandson, and a special friend Sue Yeisley.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Brown, II and friend, David Davis, Tyler Brown and wife, Elizabeth; one daughter, Mary Brown Shumate and husband, DJ; seven grandchildren, Zachariah Baker, Cheyenne Baker, Jazmine Baker and Bubby Wayne Shumate, Brooklyn White, Blake Brown, and Lucas Brown; brother, Tom and Ginger Lewis, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Theresa will be Monday, February 14, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 P.M. to service time. Burial will be in the Souder Cemetery next to her mom and dad.  Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Shumate. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
