THETA VIRGINIA (FOSTER) DICKENS JAMES
Theta James, Gainesville, MO daughter of Bob and Loma (Stevens) Foster, was born April 30, 1932 in Romance, MO and passed away February 11, 2009 in Mountain Home, AR at the age of 76 years.
She married Clifford Dickens in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1992. She later married Vernon James on June 4, 1993 in Springfield, MO. Theta attended Mammoth Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her husband Vernon of the home; one daughter Mickey Matthews of Woodlands, TX; five step-children Phyllis Bentley of Almartha, MO; Jerry James of Belton, MO; Vicky Franson of Jefferson City, MO; Jody James of Omaha, NE; and Stephanie Bearden of Gainesville, MO; 14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and one sister Thelma Cross of Springfield, MO.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents, one sister, one brother, and one step son.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Monday, February 16, 2009 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Gale Wooten and Halbert Smith officiating.
Interment will be in the Mammoth Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 PM to service time at the funeral home.
