Thomas Franklin Pierce, 76 years, passed away from a short illness on April 9, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO.
Tom was born November 8, 1938 in McClurg, MO to Frank C. and Esther Elizabeth (Lyons) Pierce. He graduated from Bradleyville High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Tom was a retired farmer and truck driver.
On Sept. 5, 1956 Tom and JoAnn Ewing were united in marriage in Taney County, MO and to this union three children were born.
Tom enjoyed fishing and visiting at the grower's market on the Ava square.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Roy, John & Bill, a daughter, Carol Ann Frye and grandson, Joseph Langron.
Tom is survived by his wife, JoAnn Pierce, Ava, MO, two sons and their spouses, Larry & Kay Pierce and Kenny & Jeannie Pierce all of Ava, MO, four grandchildren, Jeremy, Casey, Madison and Sarah, one step granddaughter, Crystal, seven great grandchildren, five step great granchildren, a good friend, Harold Mitchell and other relatives and friends.
A private family graveside will be held at a later date and time in Ava Cemetery per Tom's request. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
