TILFORD SHOCKEY
Tilford Shockey, Isabella, MO, son of Frank and Georgia (Barnett) Shockey, was born July 30, 1922 in rural Ozark County, MO and passed away December 21, 2008 at his residence at the age of 86 years.
He was a lifelong resident of Ozark County and on May 9, 1942 he married Clara Kelley in Isabella, MO. To this union two children were born, Cleo and Maxine. Tilford spent many years working in construction.
He is survived by his wife Clara of the home in Isabella; one son Cleo Shockey and one daughter Maxine Middleton both of Isabella, MO; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four step-great grandchildren; two brothers Bert Shockey of California, Orville Shockey of Seymour, MO; two sisters Massey Sims of Kansas City, MO, Rena Cox of Macon, MO; and many other friends and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be 10 AM on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Lowell Tregle officiating. Interment will follow in the Isabella Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
