Tina Jo Grooms

Ava, Missouri

Tina Jo Grooms, 58 years, 1 month, 24 days old, passed away on October 6, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.

On August 12, 1968, Tina was born in Springfield, Missouri, to Billy Joe and Wasene (McDaniel) Solomon.

Tina grew up in the Ava community and went to the Ava schools. Soon after high school Tina became a Certified Nurses Assistant. She started working at a nursing home in  Nixa. Later on she became a caregiver to her family.

Tina and Ray Grooms were united in marriage on August 5, 2006, in Ava, Missouri and he preceded in death in 2021.

Tina enjoyed the outdoors and days at the creek with her niece, nephews, and neighbor kids. She also enjoyed her dog, Penelope. Tina delighted in cooking for her family and looked forward to holiday gatherings.

Growing up, she attended church with her family. Her joy and love was caring for family and friends.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Wasene; her husband, Ray Grooms; and her nephew, Dane Solomon.

Tina is survived by her siblings, Marty and Marla Solomon, Angela Woods and Ivan Lawson, and Dean Current; nieces, Kelsea Slater, Amanda Denzer, Megan and Holly Current, and nephews, Tyler Woods, Trenton Woods, and Mason Solomon; special friends, Emily and Jeremiah; extended family and friends.

Memorial services for Tina will be Friday, October 9, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with a visitation prior to the service at 1:30 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd. Family requests memorials to the Murray Cemetery or the Sweden Cemetery.
