Tracy Albert Strong, 55, of Thornfield, MO passed away July 6, 2026 at his home. He was born June 17, 1971 in West Plains, MO to Kella and Ila (Anderson) Strong.

Tracy was a lifelong resident of Ozark County and graduated from Gainesville High School class of 1990. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He was a craftsman of making fishing lures and reloading. Anything that was done outdoors he loved.

Tracy's best dog was his side kick Boss. Wherever Tracy went Boss was right beside him.

Tracy was a member of Barren Fork Church of Christ. He believed God was best found in the woods.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonna Strong; his mother, Ila Pliler and her husband Sam; brother, Lacie Strong; along with many special family members and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kella Strong; and his father in law, Artie Cavitt.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel, Gainesville, MO. Officiating will be Bud Vickery. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 1 p.m. to service time. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Wasola, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Fair Haven Children’s Home, 3132 N Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, MO 65757. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO.
