Troy Lee Clayton, 86 years, 11 months, 20 days old, passed away on January 21, 2020 at his home.
Troy was born February 1, 1933 in Longrun, MO to John Thomas and Defsia Lee (Absher) Clayton.
He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for West Plains Bridge and Grating. He was also a farmer.
On August 26, 1956 Troy and Annette Turner were united in marriage at Squires, MO and were blessed with four children.
He was a Christian.Troy enjoyed mushroom hunting, sucker grabbing, fishing for white bass, deer hunting and his farming. He was a charter member of the Ava Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Troy loved spending time with his grand and great grandchildren!
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Bobby, three brothers, Clifford, Tilford, and Trellis, two sisters, Letha Brown and Roxie Roberts.
He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Steve & Thelma Clayton, Doug & Michele Clayton and Vicki Nelson,
five grandchildren, James, Ashley, Brandon, Cody, and Austin, eight great grandchildren, one brother, Rayford Clayton, three sisters, Brooksie Graves, Lena Brown and Lois Mudd and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Troy will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Hicks Cemetery, Theodosia, MO. Visitation will be Saturday prior to service from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Neal Crum. Memorials may be made to Hicks Cemetery.
