Troy Leon Stamper

Troy Leon Stamper, 80 years, 7 months, and 6 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on April 9, 2016 in Mansfield, MO at the home of his granddaughter, where he had lived since the passing of his wife, Helen and son, Kent.
Troy was born September 3, 1935 in Bradleyville, MO to Loda "L.E." and Willmettia (Cunningham) Stamper.
On February 14, 1957 Troy and Helen Lovada Letsinger were united in marriage in Ava, MO by Rev. Tom Johnson and to this union two children, Kent and Troyce were born.
Troy was a life long resident of the Ava community. He was owner and operator with his wife, Helen and son Kent, of Stamper Trash Service for over 40 years. Troy had also worked at Lethco Farm Implement Co. and also enjoyed hauling cattle for many years.
Troy was a Christian. He enjoyed working with Helen and Kent in their family business and on their farm. His joy was being with his family and especially with his granddaughter, Chantelle & Chad and his new great grandson, Craig!
Troy was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Pauline, his wife, Helen and son Kent in 2015.
Troy is survived by his daughter and husband, Troyce & Brian Gerk, Livingston, LA, granddaughter and husband, Chantelle & Chad Emmerson, Mansfield, MO, and grandson, Tristian Gerk, Livingston, LA, great grandson, Craig R. Emmerson, a brother, Paul Stamper, East Moline, IL, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Troy will be Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Chad Emmerson. Memorials may be made to Ava FFA Chapter.
