TWILLA EILEEN BUTLER

Twilla Butler, Theodosia, MO, daughter of Harold and Laverta (Murray) Collar, was born May 16, 1939 in Shattuck, OK and passed away April 25, 2009 at her residence at the age of 69 years.

She was united in marriage to Gordon Butler on Febuary 27, 1958 in Woodward, OK and to this union two sons were born. Twilla enjoyed being outdoors and liked doing crafts, playing the piano, and singing gospel songs.

She loved her grandchildren more than anything. She would get down on the floor and play with them for hours at a time. She even made up songs to sing for them. She always supported her sons in all activities they did, even riding dirt bikes and dune buggies with them. After the boys moved away, she and Gordon spent all their time together. She loved to go fishing and camping. She especially loved to sit on the deck and watch God's Creation.

Mom was very faithful to the Lord, and during all she went through, she only missed a few days of church. She was the kind of person who was always thinking of others first.

Twilla is survived by her husband Gordon Butler of the home in Theodosia, MO; her two sons Larry Dean Butler and his wife Samantha of Cuba, MO, and Harold Scott Butler and his wife Mary of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren Starla, Leanna, Karra, Pamela, Jonathan, Sarah, Deacon Dean, and Charles Scott; one great grandson Gregory; and one brother Louis Collar and wife Wanda of Arnett, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Laverta Collar.

Funeral services will be 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Liberty General Baptist Church in Isabella, MO with David Dodds officiating. Interment will follow in the Isabella Cemetery.
