Valerie Geane Guerin, 46 years, 4 months, 13 days old, went into the arms of Jesus on March 20, 2022 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, MO after a brave battle of cancer with her husband, "Shorty" and family by her side.

Valerie was born November 7, 1975 in Mansfield, MO to Dale Davis and Glyndora Lakey.

On August 6, 1998 Valerie and James "Shorty" Guerin were united in marriage at Dogwood Nazarene Church and they were blessed with three  children.

Valerie worked along side Shorty in their excavating business as the Bookkeeper. She was a hard worker at whatever she did. She had also worked at Wal Mart for several years. In the past she had helped caretake her grandparents, Eutah & Violet Lakey. She was a Christian and a member of Goodhope General Baptist Church.  Valerie loved people and was always a caregiver whether it was for people or for the love of animals. She had a giving heart. Her love and giving spirit will live on in her family!

Valerie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Eutah & Violet Lakey.

She is survived by her husband, "Shorty" Guerin; her children, Austin Davis and wife Lacey, Hannah Stigall and husband, Eli, and Will Guerin; two grandchildren, Kynlee and Koleman;  her parents,  Glyndora & Tim Oeltjen, her father, Dale Davis; her in-laws, Bill & Sue Guerin; her sister, Erin Gomez and husband, Rob; and her brother, David Davis; Sisters by Choice, Jodi Polk, Frieda Anderson, Brandy Bronson, Mitzi Brewer-Davis, and Monika Good; nieces, nephews, host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Valerie will be Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.   in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Stillings Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. until service time at Clinkingbeards. Officiating will be Pastor Jack Clemans. Memorials may be made to Good Hope General Baptist Church or Stillings Cemetery.
