VELMA L. BILLINGSLY

Graveside funeral services for Velma Billingsly, 85, of Pontiac, MO are 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015 in the Pontiac Cemetery. Velma passed away peacefully October 11, 2105 at Select Specialty Hospital in Springfield, MO. She was born June 8, 1930 in Ozark County the daughter of Clarence and Emily (Jones) Ingram.

Velma had several occupations throughout her life. She worked at Baxter Lab for 23 years. She was also a beautician and had a beauty shop at her home. She and her husband "Buster" ran a country store and gas station for several years. But what she enjoyed most was ranching and taking excellent care of her cattle.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Noah Mahan; her adopted son, Kenneth Mahan; and second husband David "Buster" Billingsly.

She will be remembered as self-reliant, independent, hard-working and courageous.
