Velma M Schroeder, 80 years, passed to heaven on April 12, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO with her family by her side.

Velma was born February 19, 1935 in Savanna, Missouri to Donald and Bertha Jackson.

Velma was a resident of Norwood, MO for 38 years moving from Union Star, MO. On Aug. 14, 1952 Velma and Arvin Eugene Schroeder Sr. were united in marriage in Jasper, AR.

Velma was a Christian and attended the Evansdale Church east of Ava.
She enjoyed writing about her family, playing card games, working puzzles, and gardening when she was able.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Vickie Lynn and Peggy Sue, several half brothers and sisters.

Velma is survived by her husband, Arvin Eugene "Gene" Schroeder Sr., Norwood, MO, eight children and their spouses, Arvin "Gene"& Betty Schroeder, Jr., Roanoke Rapids, NC, Ricky & Nikki Schroeder, Norwood, MO, David Dean & Connie Schroeder, Ava, MO, Jimmy Duane Schroeder, Denlow, MO, Bobby Avalon & Lori Schroeder, Macomb, MO, Emil Lee & Elizabeth Kathryn Schroeder, Norwood, MO, Connie & Don Ahlrich, Seymour, MO and Cathy & Rick Fish, Independence, MO, many
grand and great grandchildren, one sister, Grace Davidson, Union Star, MO,and a host of other relatives and friends.
