Velma Watson
Velma Watson the daughter of William Tannehill and Lola (Points) Tannehill was born Aug. 6, 1920 in Ozark County, Missouri and departed this life Jan. 5, 2007 at the age of 86 years 4 months and 29 days.
Velma was a life long resident of the area. On Sept. 10, 1947 Velma and Calvin Watson were united in marriage in Mt. Home, AR. Velma and Calvin were blessed with two children.
Velma was a member of the General Baptist Church. Velma and her husband owned and operated a general store for 21 years and she was also a nurses- aid for 18 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Calvin, three brothers and two sisters. Her survivors include one son, Carl Watson, Ava, MO, and a daughter, Lola Watson, Ava, MO, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Lutie Cemetery, Theodosia, MO.
