VERDA E. CROOK
Verda Crook, Clinton, MO, daughter of Herbert and Pearl (Coy) Allen was born October 26, 1918 in Gainesville, MO and passed away November 21, 2008 at the Gainesville Health Care Center at the age of 90 years.
She was born and raised in Gainesville, MO and later moved to Clinton, MO where she made her home for several years. On April 8, 1939 she married Fred Crook. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1984. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was always there to help take care of her family. She was an active member in the Church of Christ.
Verda is survived by three brothers Alford Allen of Gainesville, MO, Eugene Allen of Shawnee, KS, Elvin Lee Allen of Kansas City, KS, and one sister Linnie May Adams of St. Augustine, FL, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Crook, one sister Velta Crook, and one brother Roy Ralph Allen.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 25, 2008, 2:00 PM at Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Gainesville, MO with Nolan Rutter officiating. Interment will be in the Lilly Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 24th from 5:00 til 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
