VERL JUNIOR CHISAM

Verl Junior Chisam, 72, of Kansas City, MO passed away April 3, 2015 at his daughter's residence in Lewisville, TX. He was born October 7, 1942 in rural Ozark County, MO the son of Olen and Lola (Johnson) Chisam.

Verl grew up in Ozark County and moved to Kansas City when he old enough to find work. He found it in the construction business and worked for many years as a roofer. He made his home in Kansas City, but Verl always remained a country boy. Through the years, he loved to return to Ozark County to visit friends and family and go hunting and fishing. He was a hard working and fun loving man. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed the times spent with them. He just recently relocated to the Dallas, TX area this past year to be close to his daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Verl is survived by one daughter, Anissa Johnson of Lewisville, TX; three grandchildren: Kasi, Devin and Tayler; two great grandsons: Nathan and Bentley; one brother Russell Chisam and wife Florence Evelyn of Kansas City, MO; one sister Evelyn Sue Fleming of Kansas City, MO .
He was preceded in death by his parents Olen and Lola Chisam and one brother Lavern Chisam.

Funeral services for Verl will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home chapel in Gainesville, MO with Bro. Dale Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Isabella Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, April 7th from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Isabella Cemetery.
