VERSIE V. COLE

Versie V. Cole passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Gainesville Health Care Center at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 14 days old. Versie was born on April 25, 1921 in Taney County, Missouri to Hart Blanton and Edna (Brown) Blanton. On December 23, 1939 Versie and John Cole were married in Ozark County, Missouri. A resident of Ozark County most of her life, Versie attended Salem General Baptist Church.
She is survived by 5 sons James Cole of the State of Virginia, Arkie Cole of Springfield, Missouri, Jerry Cole of Theodosia, Missouri, David Cole of Theodosia, Missouri, Mike Cole of Ava, Missouri; 2 daughters Janice Miller of Ava, Missouri and Joyce Miller of Theodosia, Missouri; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 brothers Carl Blanton and Floyd Blanton both of Phoenix, Arizona
.Preceded in death by her parents, husband John Cole, children Luedna, Johnny, and Danny Cole; 4 brothers Verblee, Boyd, and Billy Blanton, and Ernest Blankenship, 1 sister Willa Blankenship; 2 grandchildren Joedean and Charlene Cole.
Funeral services are Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM, Clinkingbeard Funeral Home in Gainesville, Missouri with Wallace Jennings officiating. Burial will follow at the Cole Family Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kenny Miller, Robert Miller, Danny Miller, Brian Miller, Noel Cole, and Matthew Cole. Honorary Pallbearers are John Edward Cole, Glen Marion Cole, Heath Cole, Tommy Cole, Paul Cole, Chris Cole, and Mark Cole.
