Virginia Harlan, 72 years, 5 months, 12 days old, passed away on July 16, 2016 at her home with her family by her side.
Virginia was born February 4, 1944 in Smithville, MO to Leonard and Molly (Wallingford) Turner.
Virginia owned and operated Mom and Pops Bait and Beverage convenience store in Ava with her husband Eddie for many years.
Virginia and Eddie Harlan were united in marriage on June 1st, 1962 in Platte City, MO.
Virginia enjoyed tending to her flowers and doing yardwork. She liked to spend time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her her best friend, Twinkles her dog. She will be missed by the many customers she came to know at the store.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Eddie.
Virginia is survived by a son, Dean and wife Julie, Ava, a brother, Leonard Turner and wife Naomi of Platte County, MO, a sister, Louis Wright of Weslaco, TX, and a huge loving family that will miss her greatly.
Funeral services for Virginia will be Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 20th, 10:00 to service time in the chapel. Burial will be in the Thornfield cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Buddy Boyd . Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery or the Cancer Society.
