Virginia Plaster
Wasola, MO

Virginia Lucille Plaster, 85 years, 10 months, and 30 days old, passed to Heaven on February 2, 2015 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO.

Virginia was born March 3, 1929 in Springfield, MO to Jesse and Opal (Street) Kelley.

Virginia lived most of her life in Wasola and Almartha communities.
In the fall of 1949 Virginia and George Howard Plaster were united in marriage in Hartville, MO and to this union one son, Glen was born.

Virginia was a retired Cook and had worked at Rockbridge. She was noted for her coconut cream pies at fund raisings. Her pies always brought top dollar. She also was a dairy farmer and drove the school bus at Almartha for a few years. She also helped Howard run the mail route out of Wasola.

Virginia was a Christian and had attended church at Almartha, Souder and Wasola. She loved to fish and squirrel hunt after she milked the cows.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson, Travis Plaster, a daughter-in-law, Catherine Plaster and two brothers, Veral and Billy Joe Kelley.


Virginia is survived by her husband, Howard Plaster, Wasola, MO, one son, Glen Plaster, Wasola, MO, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Virginia will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Souder Cemetery, Wasola, MO. Officiating will be E. J. Hampton. Memorials may be made to Souder Cemetery.
