Virginia Emma Prine, 79 years, passed to heaven on February 1, 2012 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.

Virginia was born February 9, 1932 in Watts, OK to William and Blanche (Greene) White.

Virginia was a resident of the Ava community for three years moving from Rogers, AR, where she lived over thirty years. On Feb. 19, 1950 Virginia and Henry Jefferson Prine were united in marriage in Smallett, MO and to this union four children were born.



Virginia had worked for Dr. Witherspoon in Springfield, MO and also worked for J.C. Penney's and later retired from Tyson Foods in Springdale, AR. Virginia was a Christian and a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers, AR. Virginia enjoyed traveling with Henry, reading, attending music parties, working puzzles and being with family.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers and sisters, Clarence, Forrest, Paul, John, Marvin, Mary & Annabelle.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Henry Prine, Ava, MO, four children, Carol Leppert & husband, Vern, Martha Shumate & husband, Larry, Danny Prine & wife, Cindy and Jack Henry Prine, 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one brother, Bill White & wife, Joan, and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral services for Virginia will be Saturday, February 4, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Johnson and Pastor Oren Alcorn. Rev. Johnson had married Henry & Virginia 61 years ago. Memorials may be made to Walnut Grove Cemetery.
