Virginia Sue Thurman, 69 years, 9 months, and 7 days old, passed to heaven on November 6, 2012 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare.
Virginia was born January 30, 1943 in Roy, MO to Albert and Jessie (Bloomer) Stafford. Virginia was blessed with one daughter.
Virginia retired from Emerson Electric and later worked in the nursing home until her health declined.
She had accepted the Lord and was a Christian. She liked to fish, and enjoyed playing games on facebook. Virginia enjoyed playing with her cat, Callie. Virginia especially loved playing with her great-grandson, Aidan.
Virginia was preceded by her parents.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Cindy Tate, of Ava, grandchildren, Brandi Elliott, Sparta, and Tyler Lee, Ava, great-grandson, Aidan, brothers, Allen Stafford and wife Helen, Springfield, MO, Terry Stafford and wife Kathy, Ava, MO, and Leroy Stafford, sisters, Lavon Pruiett and husband Cletis, Springfield, MO, Phyllis Hawkins,Ava, and Patsy Thomas and husband Chester, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Cremation Services will be conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
