Wanda Venita Ellison, 83 years, 1 month, and 13 days old, passed away on December 28, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born November 15, 1939 in Breedon, Missouri to Amos and Rhoda (Maggard) Thomas.

Wanda was a Christian and used to attend the Goodhope General Baptist Church.

On October 24, 1959, Wanda and Anthony Ellison were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri and were blessed with a son, Doug.

Wanda enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, and fishing.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Anthony.

She is survived by her son, Doug and Kathy Ellison; her step-son, Jim and Kelly Evans; a brother, Ronnie and Sue Thomas; three grandchildren, Cody and Courtney Ellison, Zach Ellison and Leanna and Elijah Patterson; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt Ellison, Colden Ellison, and Rhett Ellison; three nieces, Bobbie Miller, Kami Souder, and Lyndi Thomas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Wanda will be Monday, January 2, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Missouri with burial to follow in the Goodhope Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 A.M. to service time.  Officiating will be Pastor James Orick. Memorials may be made to the Goodhope Cemetery.
