Wanda Louise Huffman, 86 years, 1 month, 14 days old, passed away peacefully October 17, 2022 at Heart of the Ozarks with her family by her side.
Wanda was born September 3, 1936 in Pondfork, MO to Lerman and Marie (Herd) Duckworth.
On July 28, 1951 Wanda and William "Bill" Huffman were united in marriage in Ava, MO and they were blessed with a daughter, Elaine.
Wanda worked as a Bookkeeper for Kerr Gaston Chevrolet Dealership in Ava for many years. Later she also worked for Parts Plus and always had kept the books for Bill's Lumber Co. She was a Christian and attended the Ava General Baptist Church. Wanda was very creative and talented. She was an artist! She made many oil paintings, ceramics, porcelain dolls, sewing, quilting and enjoyed gardening/canning. In her earlier years Wanda absolutely loved bowling in and around the community and she was good at it.
Wanda and Bill were very active in American Legion and she held positions in the Ava American Legion Ladies Auxiallary for many years.
She loved being with her family and especially her granddaughter and great grandbabies! She was officially renamed, "Dee"!
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 2018, her sister, Donia and a granddaughter, Laretta.
Wanda is survived by her daughter and husband, Elaine & Larry Graham, her granddaughter and husband, Rita & Curtis King, great grandchildren, Jayce Atchison and Vayda King, her sister, Janice Waits, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Family requests donations be made to Denney Cemetery.
