Wilda Lou Potter, 68 years, 10 months, 24 days old, passed away on October 18, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO with all her family by her side.
Wilda was born November 25, 1948 in Girdner, Missouri to Lonnie H. and Wanda Maxine (Brooke) Moore.
On February 17, 1968 Wilda Moore and Leon Potter were united in marriage at Girdner Church in Girdner, Missouri and to this union they were blessed with three daughters, Kristy, Kelly, and Kerry.
Wilda worked at Thornfield Headstart, Ava School, and many years at Emerson Electric. She was also a devoted loving house wife and mother.
She was a Christian and a member of Girdner Church. She loved reading her Bible, attending church and gospel singings. Her greatest desire was for all her family and friends to meet her in Heaven.
Wilda loved spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. She enjoyed playing music, camping, traveling, walking the beach, and watching the grandchildren play. She was honored to be Momma Lou. She was her boys' biggest fan.
Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, two brother-in-laws, Leonard Potter and Ronnie Pinckney, one sister-in-law, Minnie Potter, and three nephews, Jeff, Shannon and Tyler.
She is survived by her husband, Leon of the home, three daughters, Kristy Potter, Kelly Jenkins and husband, Tim, and Kerry Wasson and husband, Jeff, eight grandchildren, Sam, Jake and Luke Wasson, Hadley and Kylie Jenkins, Kimberly Stillings, Matt Jenkins, and Katelyn Davis, seven great-grandchildren, Natalie, Preston, Carter, Easton, Braxton, Claire, and Benson, two brothers, Gary Moore & wife, Bevy, and Kyle Moore, many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Wilda will be Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017at 10:00 a.m. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Girdner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 20 th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Brother Dwight Wilson, Pastor Maxine Lund and Pastor Donald Potter. Memorials may be made to Girdner Cemetery, Relay for life or Donor's Choice.Visitation
