William Henry "Bill" Holland, 76 years, 3 months, and 5 days old, passed to heaven on February 15, 2013 at his home in Goodhope.
Bill was born November 10, 1936 in Plattsburgh, NY to Merritt and Ruth (Smart) Holland.
Bill was a resident of the Goodhope community for several years. He was owner and operator of the Red Bank Grocery Store.
Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.
He enjoyed carpentry and cabinet making, traveling with Pam and working on the farm. Bill also liked deep sea fishing. Bill had a good sense of humor and was a great story teller.
Bill was preceded by his parents and his wife, Sybil (Melton) Holland in 2002.
William is survived by special friend and caregiver, Prapaisri (Pam) Shell, Goodhope, MO, four children, Jonathan M. Holland, Lisa M. Burker, Steven Holland and Richard Holland, seven grandchildren, a brother, Curtis Holland, a sister, Sharon Holland and many other friends and relatives.
Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. A memorial service for Mr. Holland is being planned for the Spring. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Goodhope Cemetery .
