William "Robert" Henson

William "Robert" Henson, age 82, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MO. after a long illness. He was born in Douglas County on August 28, 1931.
He was united in marriage to Glenna Lambert on August 24, 1956 and to this union a daughter, Kimbra, was born.
He was a member of the Mtn. Grove Masonic Lodge for 50 plus years.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Jesse Henson and mother, Eula Mae (Schudy) Henson.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna and daughter Kimbra Melton and husband, Kenneth Melton, two grandchildren, Kiera and Kory Melton of Pleasanton, California, one brother, Jesse Lowell Henson and wife Judi of Urbana, Ohio and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services for Robert will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, with burial in the Evans Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 1:00 to service time. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Garrison. Memorials may be made to the Evans Cemetery or donors' choice.
