William "Bill" Hicks
Ava, Missouri
William Hicks, 89 years, 7 months, 10 days old, passed away on June 12, 2017 at the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava.
Bill was born November 2, 1927 in Mansfield, MO to Earl and Irene (Craig) Hicks.
On June 3, 1960 Bill and Doris Jeanette McKnight were united in marriage at Miami, OK.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran. He attended SMS College and majored in art. Bill was a multi talented artist and sculpturer. Bill was good with his hands and could create or repair anything. Bill's passion was golf and he played the game his entire life.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Doris in 2010.
Bill is survived by his three children, Marc Hicks, Belle Vista, AR, Kent Hicks, Ava, MO, and Leslie Vermilio and husband, Randy, Deltona, FL, three grandsons, David, Jeremy and Michael, two great grandchildren; Grace and Jacob and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial graveside services for Bill will be Friday, June 16, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in the Ava Cemetery, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn.
Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
