William Richard Osborn
A memorial service for William Richard Osborn will be held at Clinkingbeard Funeral home in Gainesville at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Visitation will be from 1p.m to service time.
Richard Osborn passed away at home on November 16, 2017 at the age of 95. He was born in Marion County, Arkansas, on May 21, 1922, to William and Clara Osborn. He married Genevieve Johnson in 1948 and they had three children, Gwen (Tony) Khayat, Wayne Osborn, and Bill (Brenda) Osborn.
Richard Osborn was a veteran of World War II, and a homebuilder in Mountain Home, Arkansas, before turning to dairy farming in Dora, Missouri. He was a founding member of the Twin Lakes Homebuilders Association, a member of the Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative board of directors, and a founding member and elder of the Richville Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by his second wife, Mary Shaw Osborn, two sisters, Wanda Rose and Helen Billings, his daughter Gwen, sons Wayne and Bill, stepson Daniel Eaton; and grandchildren Dalal Raikos, Nick Osborn, Kate Osborn, Wayne Richard Osborn, Miranda Selnow, Uriah Osborn, and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve and by infant daughter Linda Gale.
