William "Bill" Russell Stirrat

Marshfield, MO

William Russell Stirrat, 73 years, 1 month, and 7 days old, passed to Heaven on May 18, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO with his family by his side.

Bill was born April 11, 1946 in Glasgow, Scotland to William and Agnes (Auld) Stirrat.

Bill was a retired Navy Veteran and served during Viet Nam.  On Dec. 29, 1990, Bill and Margaret Buchanan were united in marriage in St. Louis, MO.

Bill was a Christian. He enjoyed woodworking, painting, and taking care of his animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Margaret in 2016 and one brother, Johnny Stirrat.

Bill is survived by three children, Lisa Lasher and husband, Dave, Jacksonville, FL, Heather Thomas and wife, Jenica, Virginia, and Brian Christopher Stirrat and wife, Lisa, Oceanside, CA,  three step-daughters; Shelia Miller and husband Doug, Ava, MO, Brandy Lyons and husband, Ricky, Texas City, TX and Kelly Tabor, Marshfield, MO, his mother-in-law, Ruby Ellen Buchanan, Ava, MO, grandchildren; Ciara Lohman, Julia Swofford, Kolton Davis, Jacey Swofford, Lucas Hutchens, Nate Swofford, Alandra Hutchens, Tristin Stirrat, Garret Martin, Dakota Smith, Alicia Keomany and Tyler Hutchens, three great grandsons; Colby, Hesston, and Braden, two brothers, Bryan Stirrat and Ian Stirrat, and one sister, Sheila Gross, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial graveside service will be Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Denney Cemetery, Ava, MO.
