William "Bill" Thomas Conn

William Thomas Conn, 84 years passed away on May 19, 2018 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare with his family and Pastor by his side.

Bill was born February 22, 1934 in Elizabethtown, IL to Myrell and Iolene (Keeling) Conn. Bill was a graduate of Bowling Green Business University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He began his career at Williams Brothers Engineering in Tulsa, OK as a Purchasing Agent and advanced to executive level of several large gas pipeline companies over his lifetime. He worked all over the United States, Canada, Australia, Indonesia, Mexico, London, Brazil, and Libya.

Bill and his first wife, LaDonna were married for twenty-six years and raised four daughters.

On September 2, 1982 Bill and Faye (Fluss) Griffin were united in marriage in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Bill and Faye operated their own air freight delivery company in Billings, Montana for eight years before moving to Ava, MO. After moving to Ava, Bill returned to working in the pipeline construction industry.

He was a member of the Ava United Methodist Church and also Gideon's International. Bill enjoyed working in the outdoors, golf, and most of all being a devoted loving husband, father, and grandpa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Alison Beller, brothers, Jack, Eddie, and Donald Conn, sisters, Margie Birch and Carol Prior, his granddaughter, Lauren DeZorzi, and first wife, LaDonna Douglas Conn. Bill is survived by his wife, Faye, three daughters, Sarah Johnson and Julie Conn both of Ava, MO, and Karla DeZorzi, Prescott, AZ, a step daughter, Kristi Fehringer, Twin Falls, ID, grandchildren, Joshua Johnson, Kari Beller, Amber Beller, Christopher Beller, and Kristina Beller, one brother, Glenn Conn and wife, Ruth, Marysville, TN and many friends.

Memorial services for Bill will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ava United Methodist Church with a visitation Friday prior to service at 10:00 a.m. to service time.
Officiating will be Pastor Jessica Foster. Memorials may be made to Gideon's International. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
