William "Rudy" Thompson

Ava, MO

William "Rudy" Thompson, 78 years, 1 month, and 18 days old, passed to Heaven on March 11, 2018 at Ava Place in Ava, MO with his family by his side.

Rudy was born January 23, 1940 in Sebastian, FL to William and Celia (Cain) Thompson.

Rudy was united in marriage to Dorothy Salter in 1965 and together they raised seven children.

He worked in the Sheet Metal Union for over 30 years.  In 1973, Rudy moved from Florida to the Ozarks to raise his family on Swan Creek.

Rudy loved hunting and fishing and spending time in his garden.

Rudy was preceded in death  by his parents, wife, Dorothy and one daughter, Tina.

Rudy is survived by his two sons, Rodney Thompson and wife Christina, Ava, and Will Thompson, Ozark, four daughters, Tammy White, Mtn. Grove, Margo Cypret, Ava, Lisa Matthiesen, Centraila and Threasa Thompson, Hamlian, WV, nine grandchildren, Kane Thompson, Courtney Allen, Micheal White, Jr. White, Monica White, Austin Cypret, Thomas Cypret, Jessica Johnson and Dalton Matthiesen, six great-grandchildren, Gracie Allen, Allie White, Conner White, Landon White, Aubery White and Dallas White, and  a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service for Rudy will be held at the Thompson Farm at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Options Pregnancy Clinic.  Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
