Wilma E. Flynn, daughter of Neal Davis and Bertha (Brown) Davis was born Jan. 4, 1916 in Fredonia, Kansas and departed this life June 6, 2007 at the age of 91 years 5 months and 2 days.
Wilma was a resident of the Ava area for the past 60 years moving from Nebraska. Wilma and Kenneth Flynn were united in marriage on Feb. 18, 1932 in Fremont, Nebraska. Wilma and Kenneth were blessed with two daughters. She loved and enjoyed her family and working in her flower gardens. She was employed with Tobin Hamilton shoe factory for 21 years. Wilma was a member of the Gentry Church.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, her husband, Kenneth and one great grandson, Noah. She is survived by two daughters, Norma Denney, Ava, MO, Nancy Breshears, Ramona, OK, five grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 19 great-great grandchildren, and one sister, Geraldine Hailey, Ava, MO and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10:00 A.M., Sat. June 9, 2007 in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with the Rev. David Dodson and Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Interment will follow in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 6 to 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donors choice of charity.
