Wilma Jean Hampton

Ozark, Missouri

Wilma Jean Hampton, 87 years, 9 months, and 22 days old, passed away on, May 27, 2026, at Ozark Riverview Manor in Ozark, Missouri following a short illness.

Wilma was born August 5, 1938, in the Breedon Community to Lloyd and Bertha “Stillings” Williams. Wilma was one of five children.

On February 26, 1958, Wilma Jean (Williams) and Aaron Lee Hampton were united in marriage in Douglas County. To this union two sons were born, Norman Lee and Darrell Gene.

Wilma was a Christian and a member of the Breedon Freewill Baptist Church. In the last few years, Wilma and Darrell attended the Ozark Full Gospel Church.

Wilma worked several jobs from nursing homes to the most memorable one at KFC in Ozark, where she enjoyed visiting with the public.

She also enjoyed going to Silver Dollar City, shopping and attending the Oldfield Opry.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lee; son, Norman Hampton; three brothers, Elwood, Donald and Denzil; and one sister, Marie.

Wilma is survived by her son, Darrell Hampton; and a host of family and friends.

She will be laid to rest at a later date in the Stillings Cemetery. Cremation services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, Inc., Ava, Missouri.
