Wilma Annette Miller, 61, passed away on August 26, 2026, in Gainesville, Missouri. She was born on June 7, 1965, in Los Angeles, California.
Wilma Annette Miller lived a life marked by deep faith, love for her family, and a joyful spirit that touched those around her. She was known as the life of any gathering, bringing laughter, warmth, and a generous heart wherever she went. Wilma cared deeply about people and was remembered for the love and kindness she shared so freely. Her faith was the foundation of her life. Anew Church was her house of worship when her health allowed, and she loved the Lord Jesus Christ with strong and abiding trust. That faith guided her daily life and remained central to who she was.
Wilma was a caring and loving mother and sister, and her family held a cherished place in her heart. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, and the bond she shared with them was especially treasured.
She is survived by her daughter, Lacey Picou, and son-in-law, Joe Picou; her grandson, Steven Picou; her granddaughter, Natasha Picou; her sisters, Annia Contreras, Angela Farmer, and Virginia Nelson; her brother, Allen Nelson; her nieces, Danielle, Brianna, Ezrieona, Valerie, and Makenzie; her nephews, Brian, Creedon, and Gabe; her great-niece, Kinley Jo; her great-nephews, Waylon and Charlie; and many cousins whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clovis Nelson; her mother, Betty Nelson; her brother, Arthur Nelson; and her grandparents.
Those who knew Wilma Annette Miller will remember her for her laughter, her loving nature, her strong faith, and the joy she found in life. Her memory will remain dear to all who were blessed to know her.
