Wilma "Jean" Swearengin

Wilma "Jean" Swearengin, 83 years, 11 months, and 19 days old, passed to Heaven on December 29, 2015 at her home in Belton, MO, with her family by her side.
Jean was born January 10, 1932 in Thornfield, MO to Roy and Nora (Dilk) Delp.
On December 2, 1948 Jean and Bill Swearengin were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, AR and to this union three children were born.
Jean was a resident of Belton, MO since 1979 . She was a retired Meat Wrapper working 39 years for the Safeway Grocery Stores in the Kansas City area. She was a Christian and a strong woman of faith and loved her family dearly. Jean's hobbies were cooking and sewing, but mostly cooking!
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill in 1997, seven brothers, Delmas, Boyd, Doyle, Don, Hercel, Marvin "Newt", and Bill Delp, four sisters; Mildred Graves, Bonnie Lawson, Jewell Marsh and infant sister.
Jean is survived by three children; Cheryl Hamilton, Independence, MO, Dianne Sisco, Grandview, MO and Jeffrey Swearengin, Belton, MO, _6__ grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Kroes, Toppenish, WA, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Jean will be Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, MO. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pam Tucker. Memorials may be made to Thornfield Cemetery or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN.
