Winnie Inez Miller the daughter of Walter Jackson Billingsley and Lulu E. (Brown) Billingsley was born Dec. 30, 1907 in Yeager, Oklahoma and departed this life Oct. 8, 2006 in Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, MO at the age of 98 years 9 months and 8 days.

Winnie was a resident of Spokane for the past three years moving from Ava where she had lived for many years. She had also lived in Shenandoah, Iowa for years where she had worked at J.C. Penney and Bowen Bakery. After her retirement in 1969 she moved to Ava to live and care for her mother. Winnie was a member of the Methodist Church in Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Homer Billingsley and one sister, Edith Billingsley. Winnie is survived by one brother & wife, James W. & Velma Billingsley, Spokane, MO, five nephews, J.T. Billingsley & wife, June (whom Winnie made her home with before going to Heart of the Ozarks), Spokane, MO, David Billingsley, state of Ohio, Jeff Billingsley, Forsyth, MO, Donnie Billingsley, state of Iowa & Donald Miller, Ardmore, OK, one niece, Pam Dyck & husband Jerry, Newton, KS, also several great nephews & nieces and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, 10:30 a.m. in the Mt. Tabor General Baptist Church with a visitation before at 10:00 a.m. at the church. The service will be officiated by the Revs. John Haskins and Paul Mohler. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Services are being conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO.
