Yulanda Kay Conley, 62 years passed away on October 27, 2010 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO.
Kay was born March 30, 1948 in Peoria, IL to Lloyd Dale and Norma Jean (Blake) Thurman.
Kay was a resident of Ava for several years. She was a Baker and Cook for Country Mart in Branson West for a number of years. She had also worked in Housekeeping in a hotel in Branson, MO. The hobbies Kay enjoyed doing were: sewing, reading, cooking, gardening, caring for her dogs and being with her family and friends.
Kay was preceded by her parents, one brother, Lloyd Dale "Bosco" Thurman, Jr. and one sister, Johnna Lynn Thurman.
Kay is survived by two sisters, Marilyn Ewalt, Republic, MO and Robin Thurman, Springfield, MO, three brothers, Kenneth "Butch" Conley, Rogersville, MO, Mike Thurman, Diggins, MO and Kevin Thurman, Rogersville, MO, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services for Kay will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. October 29, 2010 at the Girdner Cemetery, Squires, MO. Visitation will be Friday, October 29, 2010 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Johnson. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.
