Zane Gray

Roger Zane Gray, 78 years, 7 months, 17 days old, passed away on May 24, 2018 at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, MO.

Zane was born October 7, 1939 in Douglas County, MO on the family farm to Woodrow and Freda (Rogers) Gray.

Zane was a retired car dealership owner and operator in Ava, MO for many years.

In 1957 Zane and Geraldine Huff were united in marriage in Squires, MO and they were blessed with one son, Danny. Years later on June 13, 1974, Zane and Janice Loftin were united in marriage in Ava, MO and were blessed with two daughters, DeAnna  "DeeDee" and DeAun.

Zane was a member of the Ava Country Club for many years and served on their board. He was actively involved in his community and served on the Ava School Board for many years. He enjoyed working on the family farm, playing Poker, playing golf, deer camping and hunting. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports.

Zane was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Freda, and significant other, Lela Rowe.  Zane is survived by his three children, Danny Gray, Ozark, MO, DeAnna "DeeDee" & Sam Miller, Nixa, MO, and DeAun & Eric Judd, West Plains, MO,  seven grandchildren, Heath Gray and wife, Molly, Samantha Gray, Ashton, Alex, & Aden Judd, Gannon & Myles Miller, one great grandson, Hudson Gray, two sisters, Zora Williams, Springfield, MO and Julia Johnson, Salem, MO, and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Zane will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Fannon   Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29 ^th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Fannon Cemetery or Neighbor Helping Neighbor.
